API Connects for ecoDMS API Rest Service
- To use / license the ecoDMS API, you require API connects. You can purchase them from the ecoDMS online shop
- Alternatively, software developers can use a dedicated developer license which allows full access to the ecoDMS API.
- Business customers, who have purchased the ecoDMS ONE full archiving package, also have full access to the ecoDMS API.
What Are API Connects and What Do I Need Them For?
- To programmatically connect ecoDMS software to third-party software implement function calls, programmers can use the ecoDMS API
- To do so, you need API connects
- These are “added” to the existing ecoDMS license number (full version)
- You need API connects to upload and download files / documents through the ecoDMS API
- Per upload / download you need 1 API connect per month
- The costs for the ecoDMS API depend on the number of required monthly API connects (scaled prices)
- Every month the API connects are automatically reset, giving you the full number of purchased API connects for each month
Example: How many API connects do I need?
- If, for example, you want to process (up- or download) 1,000 documents per month with the API, you need to make a one-time purchase of 1000 API connects
- The 1000 API connects are then available to you each month
- If necessary, you can increase the number of API connects
- The API connects you purchase are added to your existing ecoDMS license number
- If you require unlimited access to the ecoDMS API, we recommend you purchase ecoDMS ONE
Validity and Pricing of API Connects
- 1 API connect => from 0.42 EUR incl. 19% VAT per monthly upload / download via the API Rest service (scaled prices at ecoDMS Online Shop)
- The fee for the ecoDMS API is due once and not on a monthly basis
- Every month the API connects are automatically reset, giving you the full number of purchased API connects for each month
- API connects are perpetual and you can purchase any number for the existing ecoDMS license number
- The API connects are bound to the associated ecoDMS license number
- In order to use the ecoDMS API, you require an unused concurrent ecoDMS connection
- All uploads and downloads via the ecoDMS API are counted
- Calling folder lists does not require API connects
- You can call the number of available API connects and those consumed during the current month through the ecoDMS API itself or view them in the ecoDMS Settings
Free Trial Version of the ecoDMS API
- The ecoDMS API is an integral component of the ecoDMS document management system
- This is why the ecoDMS trial version can also be used as free test version of the ecoDMS API
- The ecoDMS trial version includes 30 monthly API connects
- Moreover, each concurrent connection for the ecoDMS full version you purchase includes 10 monthly API connects and these will remain valid even when you purchase additional API connects.
