Virtual Machines arrow_upward
If you are using a virtual machine, please ensure that you are using a hardware virtual machine (HVM). PV (paravirtualisation) is not supported.Raspberry Pi
We provided the ecoDMS Server version for Raspberry Pi as a playground for tech-savvy ecoDMS users. However, we do not recommend productive use with large data volumes and/or in companies. The "remote access" function of Raspberry Pi is not guaranteed due to limited performance. To best exploit the advantages of the archiving solution, we recommend you install the ecoDMS components on high-performing software with respective storage capacity.RASPBERRY PI 2 MODEL B RASPBERRY PI 3 MODEL B |

Network Attached Storage (NAS) arrow_upward
The ecoDMS server can be installed on a QNAP and Synology system. ecoDMS supports those device types from QNAP and Synology which which allow container virtualization via "Docker". Not all models of the Synology and QNAP ranges support Docker. If the latest version of the Synology or QNAP software is installed on an NAS, and Docker is not available, the model is not compatible with ecoDMS. The download source and installation are descibed in the ecoDMS installation guide. You cannot download the components directly from the ecoDMS website. The ecoDMS server is installed via the Docker images provided especially for the two NAS systems. This "image" serves as a template when creating an ecoDMS container.QNAP & Synology | Docker Support (Virtualisationg) | X86 | min. 2 GB RAM (required) | The QNAP ContainerStation integrates the virtualisation technologies LXC (Linux containers) and Docker. Thus allowing the operation of several isolated Linux systems on a QNAP NAS. Using Synology, Docker can be installed via the Package Center. |

Scannersarrow_upward
There are many scanners. Therefore, we can not test all models. If your scanner meets the following criteria, you can normally use it. We recommend you to test your scanner with the ecoDMS demo version. After successful testing, you can activate the full version with a licence.- Basically you can use any network scanner and any USB scanner which have the "Scan-to-Folder" function to scan into the scan-input folder of ecoDMS.
- In addition, you can use numerous scanners, which have a TWAIN/WIA interface, to directly scan into the ecoDMS Inbox.
- The device must have PDF and/or TIFF as scan formats.
- It is best to scan in the documents in black and white (black-white= 1-bit colour depth) or in shades of grey with 200-300 DPI.
