ecoDMS GmbH, located in Aachen, is an innovative company specializing in high-end software solutions for document management, archiving, and workflow. With proven expertise and long-term experience, the company offers first class software for archiving, management, and business process automation.

Our solutions have been developed to suit small to medium-sized companies and large organizations, as well as private users. We build on fair pricing models and user-friendly, customizable software applications that fulfil the requirements of a broad spectrum of customers.

History and Development

The roots of ecoDMS go back to the year 2004, when applord GmbH implemented a digital incoming email processing project for a large customer. Based on comprehensive experience in document management and workflow, applord developed ecoDMS Server - the base for today’s ecoDMS document management system.

On 1 October 2014, Michael Schmitz and Helge Lühmann founded ecoDMS GmbH in Aachen as part of the renowned applord Holding Europe. The distribution rights for the “ecoDMS” software package were successfully transferred to ecoDMS GmbH.

Today, the company has more than 20,000 business and private customers across Europe. In addition, ecoDMS GmbH has a large network of excellence consisting of approx. 1,400 IT system providers. They have successfully embedded our software in their range of products and services and offer our solutions in combination with specialist services.

The pricing of our full software versions is unique in the industry.

Sales are made through our online shop, where customers can purchase licenses and support. The license number is dispatched via email once the transaction is complete.

We provide customers with ample information on our website before they make a purchase. Here you can find all sales, pricing, and product information, as well as free manuals explaining the installation, settings, and features. Free videos and trial versions allow customers to test the software without obligations.
