The document management system ecoDMS is a platform-independent archiving solution for scanning, archiving, managing and retrieving documents. Platform independence, intelligence, scalability, user-friendliness, flexibility and fair pricing distinguish ecoDMS from other solutions.
ecoDMS includes all common functions of archiving software. Full-text indexing, various search functions, plugins for Office and e-mail programmes, a PDF/A printer, user and group management including Active Directory and LDAP interface, version management, the incoming mail programme ecoICE with scanning function, as well as automatic classification and archiving of documents are integral parts of ecoDMS.
ecoDMS is easy to use and can be installed across platforms. The software is available for Windows, Ubuntu, Debian and MacOS. Dedicated server versions are also available for Raspberry Pi 2 and Docker. The latest ecoDMS version supports Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems that provide container virtualisation from Synology and QNAP. For mobile users, apps for Android and iOS smartphones and tablets are available, along with a web client for internet browsers.
ecoDMS offers virtually unlimited access to archived documents. This is made possible by the cutting-edge technology of the ecoDMS server, which is a software component rather than hardware. The ecoDMS server creates a secure cloud solution within the user’s own network. Documents are securely stored in the ecoDMS PostgreSQL database instead of on third-party servers or on the file system, where they could easily be manipulated. The ecoDMS archive can be accessed from a local PC, via the web or through the app.
The pricing model and state-of-the-art technology allow ecoDMS to be used by private individuals, small and medium-sized businesses, and even large corporations. The full version is available in the ecoDMS online shop for 49 Euros gross per licence. Private users can use the Free4Three version with limited functionality free of charge for an unlimited period. The software, free training videos, comprehensive information material and licences are available at www.ecodms.de.
